Beneath my feet,
I felt the earth quiver.
It was an unnerving and unsettling movement.
My heart began to beat faster,
As I knew a change had come.
My mind entertained a million thoughts!
Like a race horse in its last mile.
Racing to the end…
Through tunnels of dread and sorrows.
Only by the Grace of God go I....
I pondered.
Surly this race we call life is all for naught.
Money nor fame can save us, but I declare!
Perseverance and courage,
Will be their badge of honor.
Anger lies heavily within the contents of my heart.
I scream out loud, “ENOUGH!”
Across the seas I cry out!
But my words never reach the air.
The sound is silenced by my own tightly pursed lips.
I pray they know we deeply care.
I feel helpless as a new born babe,
That longs for the warmth of his mothers arms.
So I pray, watch, and mourn,
With my brothers and sisters.
Vive la France
