Moving to the Next Level

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

He looked to heaven and proudly proclaimed to God. 

"Something new is about to take place Lord!"

The Lord said softly..."It has all been done before!"

"But Lord, I am going to a new level!"

The Lord asked, but the Father already knew the answer.

"To what level do you proclaim? I am the Lord your God, and I am the highest level!"

The man felt perplexed, but sheepishly proceeded anyway.

"I was sure you were going to do a "new thing" Father!"

The Lord smiled.

"I am the same yesterday, today, and will be tomorrow."

The man had truly thought he heard from God. He was ready to move to the next level! Could he have missed the message, perhaps... it was his own heart talking. 

"Father, what do I do now if I do not move to the next level and what about the new thing?"

The Father lovingly placed his arms around the confused man and said.

"Abide in me and I will abide in you. I am constant and never moving. The world is forever seeking a newer level, and a new thing, but my son...all I have ever wanted is you."
