I loved this picture as it fit so perfectly with my post today. Don't you wish we had the power to have our dogs clean up their own messes. Sadly, as pet owners, we are forever bound to clean up their POOP! It is just the way it is. It is not pleasant nor my favorite pass time, but if I am to have a nice, clean environment, I must do away with the POOP by using my handy POOPER SCOOPER!
Politically speaking... If I am to be honest, I want someone in office who will clean up the POOP we Americans have found ourselves in! Perhaps it is not their own POOP by their making, but I hope by electing the right person, that they will fix what ever is wrong with our America.
Perhaps one scoop at a time, I honestly don't know how this will work.
Like many American's, I am one Boomer who has been glued to the news! I attempt to understand all the candidates views and agendas, which can be like murky water at best. By taking in all that they say, I hope when the time comes I will make a wise, and informed decision.
While I can not sit down for tea with any one of these candidates and get to know them on a personal level, I have their words across the air waves to help me understand their plans for our America. I then pray I will be able to draw my personal conclusions and vote to the best of my ability!
So how do I pick a candidate? Yes I hear their words...but how do I know that what they are saying is for real or not just a bunch of POOP?
My husband and I differ in our thoughts concerning what we are looking for in a President. We have sat and discussed our differences many a nights. He like many... is sick and tired! He is ready for a BIG game changer! He wants someone who will fight! He wants the candidate with the MEGA POOPER SCOOPER!
I on the other hand am looking for someone with a calm, sound, consistent demeanor, with a long track record. Perhaps a little scooper, but one that is sturdy and will do the job just as well!
Truthfully...how do we as Americans judge a candidate?
In my opinion, I look at the candidates life, by observing their past, and their present. Being articulate is great, but if they have a shaky track record, then how do I trust them with my future? Have they indeed ever taken the POOPER SCOOPER out of the box?
Do they have a track record for cleaning up their own POOP and yes even the POOP of others? Are they honest about their POOP?
"Yes it was my POOP and I will gladly clean it up!"
It is not a pleasant job, but if one is not willing to get down in the trenches then what good are they?
For me I still believe that God is in control and will place the King in high places. There are reasons beyond my understanding why some advance and some appear to fall behind. I just have to trust and most of all VOTE with every moral fiber in me for all the right reasons.
As a Boomer, a Mother, a Grandmother, believe me when I say, I have changed a few diapers and picked up mounds of POOP in my time! I also know I must continue to clear my mind in order to make a sound decision! A decision NOT based on emotions, but of a sound and smart thinking mind!
Do not discount us...we know POOP when we see it!
This race is one that will definitely go down in the history books. I will close for now wishing you a wonderful day, filled with good thoughts. It was not my intention to talk about Poop, but ya know...Someone had to do it!
Smiles and hugs!
